In this website, I will share my observations, documentation, and reflections about two main research interests of mine.

In CHILDREN AND NATURE, I reflect on ways that children experience nature, especially in big cities. My goal is to invite parents, teachers, researchers, and the larger community members to reflect on and discuss about what nature means in their everyday life. In what ways are children and them experiencing nature?

In CHILDREN AND LITERACY, I will reflect on literacies as social practices including new literacies such as print literacy, math literacy, social literacies, physical literacies, and so on. I’m most interested in the discrepencies between children’s experiences in childcenters, schools, and the larger society, including their homes. How do they make sense of these diverse contexts where lietreacies are defined for and by them?
